Chassis / Engine / What goes in the car

This is what makes the car what it is.

The Chassis

While we could have used any number of Chassis we have learned, over the years, that there aren't many folks out there that can deliver a top notch product at a competitive price.  We have been very fortunate to find the folks at Rocket Chassis who we got an '03 from and then we just took delivery of an '06 from GRT Chassis.   Most folks in the sport know of Skip Arp and his feared #31.  Skip is a representative for GRT and there's a reason for that. He loves the chassis, how easy it is to work on, how easy it is to adjust for the tracks he races at, and how easy it is to clean off at the end of the night.

It just so happens that Skip took a night off from racing the night Randy first raced his GRT and he spent most of the night with Randy teaching him all he could about the GRT.  Not too many representatives will provide you with that kind of personalized service, and what he did with Randy is no guarentee he'll do that for you, but it work the way it did for Randy.

The bottom line is that Randy now has two chassis that he knows very well and the team will be ready to race hard at any track the trailer pulls into.

The Engine.

The Engines we have come from R.E.D. (Race Engine Design).   They put together a 401 motor that peaks over 825 h.p. and has over 760 ft. lbs. of torque.  If that's what will put a smile on your face then you'll be smilen' as soon as you call 706-866-3000.  They are in Rossville Georgia and will work with you just as they worked with Burrows / Ezell Motorsports.

The other components

What good is a great engine in a great chassis if you don't put the right stuff in it.  With the help of these folks, all mentioned below, we have what we need to set up the car so it can be a contender in every showing this year.  We have Hoosier Tires on the Weld Wheels rims and they are supported by Ohlins Shocks with the steering provided by Woodward Precision Power Steering.  We have an ATL Fuel Cell to hold the Sunoco fuel that flows through our Stealth Racing Carburators, many thanks to Tony Smith, and MSD Ignition to fire it all.  Then we have Peterson Fluid Systems to keep things moving, Valvoline to keep it slick, Winter's Performance Rear Ends to move it and K&N Air Filters to keep it clean and at the end of the night we have Wilwood Brake Calipers to stop it.   Everyone that has a weblink we know of has a link included above.  Just click on it and see what they have.  If you see a link that doesn't work e-mail the webmaster.
